The Federation of Liberian Youth (FLY), with funding from Action Aid Liberia, has embarked on a three-day capacity building training workshop aimed at shaping the minds of FLY County Youth Secretariat staff, youth group leaders and national staff.
The workshop, which is currently ongoing in one of the conference rooms of the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MYS) housed at the Samuel K. Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville City, will be covering topics such as advocacy, which was facilitated by MYS Assistant Minister Nya D. Twayen, Media Engagement by Daily Observer Youth Columnist Alaskai Moore Johnson, Resource Mobilization by Jerry B. Tarbolo, Financial Management by Augustus M. Zayzay, Project Design and Implementation and Report Writing by Joseph Jimmy Sankaituah, and Decision making and teamwork by Deputy MYS Minister Sam E. Hare, Jr.
Those counties participating in the three-day interactive dialogue are those counties under Action Aid Liberia sponsorship, which include Montserrado, River Gee, Bomi, Gbapolu, and Grand Gedeh Counties.
The workshop started on Thursday, March 11, 2010 and is expected to end on Saturday, March 13, 2010.
This training session is the first training organized by this new leadership, which is being led by Augustus Zayzay.
