Zwedru Correction Palace Reopened After 18 Years

The Palace of Correction in Zwedru will admit the first batch of prisoners anytime soon following a commissioning ceremony of the rehabilitated prison facility. Officials from the United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNMIL) and the Ministry of Justice led the commissioning ceremony. The UNMIL staff were led by Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary General, (DSRSG) for Rule of Law, H.M. Bonso, while Deputy Minister for Justice for Administration, Sienie Johnson led the Justice Ministry team.
