The President of the Republic of Liberia, Her Excellency Mrs. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, has sent a message of condolences to the President, Government and People of the People's Republic of China over the distressing and sad news of one the worst earthquakes to have struck China in recent years, resulting in the death of over 10,000 persons, the injury of several thousands others as well as the massive destruction of properties. This sad event occurred in Wenchuan County, in the Sichuan Province of China over the weekend.
