Al-Qur'an tells us that Allah, out of His Own Divine Wisdom and Judgment, “gave the children of Israel” three separate and distinct honors: “the book, wisdom and prophet hood”. In addition, Allah also “gave them goodly sustenance” He further favored and exalted them above all people.” The Scripture then goes on to say that Allah “gave them clear arguments of the affair (true religion), and they did not differ until after Knowledge had come to them, through rivalry among themselves. Verily your Lord will judge between them on the day of reckoning in what they used to differ” (45:16-17)
