MONROVIA, The Supreme Court of Liberia has finally handed down its decision granting power to the President to appoint city mayors in the country. The Court rendered the verdict last Friday following months of intense legal battle between government lawyers and lawyers representing two opposition parties, Liberty Party (LP) of Cllr. Charles W. Brumskine and the Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) of football star George Oppong Weah.
