Liberia: World Bank Donates Digital Equipment to Tubman University

The World Bank, through its Country Manager, Ms. Georgia Wallen, donated a variety of digital equipment to William V.S. Tubman University (TU) on Monday, March 4, 2024. The donated digital equipment included laptops, desktop computers, and larger multifunction printers. The equipment was presented in a ceremony attended by the president of TU, Dr. Olu Q. Menjay, and Mr. Theo Kollie, Director of Procurement.

Ms. Wallen expressed her organization’s commitment to supporting education in Liberia and hopes for more collaboration with TU shortly. Receiving the donation on behalf of Tubman University, Dr. Menjay expressed excitement about the opportunities the new equipment would bring and looked forward to incorporating them into labs and offices.

“With this donation, TU is moving forward in its mission to provide quality education to its students and prepare them for success in the modern world. The university is grateful for the support of the World Bank and looks forward to continuing to grow and thrive with the help of partners like the World Bank,” Dr. Menjay added.
