James Kamara Completes Move to Tony FC

Kamara becomes the club’s fourth new signing ahead of the new league season

Margibi-based second division club, Tony FC, have confirmed the signing of former Jai FC striker James Sami Nas Kamara on a three-season deal.

Kamara was unveiled on Tuesday, following the completion of the deal for an undisclosed amount.

The former Jai FC striker who netted nine goals provided 14 assists, according to his new club, becomes Tony FC’s fourth new signing.

Kamara’s move to Tony FC is meant to boost the club’s attacking options for the upcoming 2021/22 league season.

The club earlier announced the signing of goalkeeper Andrew Nyantee and defender Browne Tumosiayah from 3rd division side Liam FC for the next three seasons.

Kamara expressed joy in joining the club and promised to help the club in making an impact in the new league season.

“I love this club, that's why I'm here. I received other offers from other big clubs but I came here because I see a great future here and want to play here. Tony FC have so many great young talents and I want to play with them to help them promote the club to the first league. I believe we can do it for the club, the fans and the CEO.

“I came with my mom today because I want her to know I'm coming into a family. I will work hard every day to help my teammates on the pitch,” Kamara said.

Kamara was welcomed by the club President, Anthony Z. Deinuka, and was presented with the number 11 shirt for the new season.
