Champion club BYC in readiness for Stade Malien on Sunday

‘Our Approach to International Matches is Different’

As first division champions Barrack Young Controllers (BYC) prepare for their first match in the preliminaries of the CAF Champions League on Sunday, the president of the club, Sekou Konneh, has said his team’s approach towards international matches is quite different from their approach towards league matches.

‘Barrolle’s Problem is not the Players’

The head coach of Mighty Barrolle, Tyrance Dixon, has revealed that his players are not responsible for the difficulties being experienced by the team in the ongoing national league.

According to Coach Dixon, the lack of financial and logistical support to the team is the contributing factor to the team’s underperformance.

No Win for Traditional Rivals

Liberia’s two traditional rivals, Invincible Eleven and Mighty Barrolle remain at the bottom of the league table after both teams failed to secure wins in their respective matches.

The ‘Sunshine Yellow Boys’ (IE) were earlier on Friday defeated 3-1 by Keitrace FC, which recorded their seventh consecutive defeat of the season.

Invincible Eleven as usual started the match on a good note by attacking their opponents, with their supporters expressing hope that their team was going to end their continuous run of defeats.

IE Dumped Again

It was another frustrating day for supporters of Invincible Eleven (IE) at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium when the team conceded their sixth consecutive defeat by losing 4-2 to Monrovia Club Breweries.

The few supporters who turned out to cheer the “Sunshine Yellow Boys” to victory, including the President of the IE Majesty Sports Association chapter in Philadelphia, Lydia Jones, and former LFA stakeholder Tugbeh C. Tugbeh, were frustrated by the end result.
