Dr. Richard Vacanarat Tolbert, who was overwhelmingly elected president last February by the electorate of the Invincible Eleven & Majestic Sports Association (IE&MSA), is challenging other elected officials to continue on the path of unity that brought them to leadership.
“If we continue with the spirit we started with, I am sure we will make it. I know the task ahead is challenging, but I am prepared and I accept it,” Dr. Tolbert assured his elected colleagues and other members of IE&MSA at a luncheon last Saturday at a local restaurant in Monrovia.
Other members of the newly elected leadership include Messrs. Francois Junius, vice president for Administration; Alfred Sayon, vice president for Operation and Technical Services; Jonathan Sogbie, vice president for Fan Clubs; and Momolu V.O. Sirleaf, general secretary. All of them pledged to work cooperatively for the betterment of the Association.
The meeting also highlighted 12 areas the new leadership considers immediate priorities, and set a 100-day deliverable time frame.
A member of the IE&MSA/USA fans association, Abraham Kromah, who made a brief stop at the meeting, assured the Tolbert team that he would inform the US-based fan clubs about the recent development regarding the new officials.

Football bureaucrat Pennoh Bestman, who is currently serving as vice president for Administration under the leadership of Cllr. Izetta Wesley, is urging stakeholders to vote Musa Bility as president of the Liberia Football Association (LFA) for the development and promotion of football in Liberia.
The football administrator told Daily Observer yesterday that the LFA, which has been suffering owing to lack of sponsorship for the past 10 years, a situation that has contributed to the unattractiveness of football in Liberia, needs a business-minded leader like Musa Bility, who will repair the disastrous image of the game.
The former Black Star president and current member of the Board of Directors of Black Star, who has been at the helm of LFA for six years, added that though Izetta Wesley was relatively successful for the past four years, the LFA is in dire need of a business-minded leader who will give the league an international flavor through sponsorship.
Mr. Bestman named the refurbishment of Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS), the capacity building of the referees, coaches, administrators and medics and the decentralization of football as some of the pluses of Cllr. Wesley.
