ICT Forecast For 2015: A Year of Progress!

The year 2015 is expected to be a stimulating and defining year for our Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector; it is expected to be a year of progress and new developments. We will hear about things like Digital Migration, a national web portal for Government to digitally deliver services and information to citizens, residents, businesses, et al,   the discontinuation of the use of Internet email systems such as Yahoo! And GMAIL for OFFICIAL Government communications, a strong CIO regime, and a robust e-government program that has already begun.

Cape Mount Gets New ETU

With the alarming cases of the deadly Ebola virus in Grand Cape Mount County, the Liberian Government’s Incident Management System (IMS) and partners have officially opened the newly constructed Ebola Treatment Unit in Sinje, Grand Cape Mount County.

Speaking at the dedicatory ceremony of the ETU, the head of the Cape Mount County Health Team (CHT), Dr. Larain Cooper, explained that because the county is now in the limelight of the deadly virus, it is very important for all the villages and towns to be focused on combating the epidemic.

‘Do Not Misguide Our People’

The Catholic Archbishop of Monrovia, Lewis J. Zeigler, has challenged Legislators and cabinet ministers to work together in peace and speak with a voice that shows that they are united.

“Please work together, work in peace and speak with a voice that shows that you are united. Do not misguide our people; help them so that together we will build this country into what we want it to be,” admonished the Archbishop.
