SATCON to Launch Paid TV In Liberia

SATCON, a multi-million dollar Lebanese owned cable company seeking to provide “affordable satellite TV service” have concluded plans to launch their services in Liberia.

According to Rabih Fahs, CEO of the company, SATCON will resume its satellite TV service throughout Liberia covering 140 channels using several state of - the-art satellite connectivity equipment.

Mr. Fahs, a satellite communication expert, said he was making his contribution toward the country’s reconstruction drive through the provision of affordable satellite TV service to a nation in dire state of satellite connectivity; a factor he considers key to development.

“Once connectivity is well established,” CEO Fahs explained, “the next step is to deliver high quality service backed by competent staff whose goal is to make sure the public gets value for their money.”

The company is licensed by the Government of Liberia through the Liberia Telecommunication Authority (LTA) and the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications; thereby granting SATCON the legitimacy to operate as a satellite service provider.

Recently, management successfully completed its training and recruitment drive aimed at providing young Liberians with career opportunities in the new global digital world which Liberia is striving to grapple with.

Mr. Fahs recently revealed to the Daily Observer during an exclusive interview, that SATCON has developed a reputation of consistent delivery of professional service in seven (7) countries while providing satellite TV programs in English, French, Arabic and other languages.

The SATCON Boss commented on the promising business climate in Libera, acknowledging the presence of other companies and competitors, and underscored his company’s capacity to provide quality service as the factor that differentiated his company from the competition.
