Oilers Lose 4 Games in FIBA Tourney in Tunisia

Having lost four straight games in the Men’s finals of the 28th Champions Cup in the FIBA tournament going on in Sousse, Tunisia, Liberia’s representative LPRC-Oilers were yesterday scheduled to complete their final match against Egypt’s Sporting Alexandria.   The competition began on December 12 and will end on the 21.

Oilers lost their first game to Club Constantinois of Algeria 84-64 in group A. The Algerian club led 10 points at the end of the first quarter 23-13.

FIBA Basketball Finals December 5

The 2013 FIBA Africa Club Champions Cup is now scheduled for Thursday, December 5, 2013 in Tunis, Tunisia amongst ten teams from Africa. Earlier the competition was to be held in November.

The championship is the highest men's basketball competition for clubs, organized by the FIBA Africa and played by the champions of the leagues of the African countries.

A Liberia Basketball Association source told the Daily Observer that Oilers have been informed of the new schedule.
