Soccer Legend Celebrates Natal Day, LFA, CEIO, SWAL Send Congratulations
At a program in which the secretary general of the LFA, B. Alphonso Armah clarified wrong impressions by the members, the gathering recognized Weah’s contribution and wished him more happiness to come.
Commenting on Weah’s exceptional success in Europe, Armah said since Weah and many of his colleagues burst on the sporting scene without too much digging, there is every chance that once youth football gains necessary support, such caliber of players can be unearthed for Liberia in the future.
“It’s up to every Liberian to work together to dig such talents for the country,” Armah said, as his listeners cheered.
He warned that unless critics of the LFA decide to work and support the effort of the Liberia Football Association, “we will have ourselves to blame.”
He meanwhile paid his personal respect, along with that of the Liberia Football Association for Ambassador Weah’s milestone and wished him many more happy returns.
Also wishing Ambassador Weah a joyous natal day was the Sports Writers Association of Liberia.
The association recognized Ambassador Weah’s contribution to world football and praised him for being a trail blazer, hoping that other Liberian footballers would have the chance to follow his footsteps.
Also expressing glorious appreciation for the Legend’s natal day was the sports desk of the Daily Observer, urging Ambassador Weah to keep his leadership role as a model for Liberian youths to follow his example to promote Liberia’s image.
