Ex-SWAL Boss Gets FIBA Post
Africa`s basketball governing body, FIBA - AFRIQUE has appointed Liberian sports commentator Fombah Kanneh on its Media Committee.
FIBA – AFRIQUE took the decision recently from its extraordinary Zone 3 Congress held in the Ivorian Capitol Abidjan.
Kanneh is the youngest appointed on the nine-man committee charged with responsibility to work with the media to promote basketball across Africa, along with the responsibility of working with national federations.
Kanneh is a former president of the Sports Writers Association of Liberia, SWAL. He has now moved into youth development and entrepreneurship.
The Liberia Basketball Association, (LBA) recommended Kanneh for the post.
In a related development, FIBA – AFRIQUE has also appointed Liberian Basketball vice president Bruce Quaye member on its legal committee as well as its Secretary-General Allen Goodridge as vice chairman on the finance and sponsorship committee.
